NQF L5 FULL CLASS TRAINING
NQF L5 - FULL CLASS TRAINING
PPRA REQUIREMENTS
Full-status agents may apply to complete the qualification through RPL, whereas interns are generally advised to complete the qualification by attending training.
The National Certificate in Real Estate is the PPRA-required qualification to operate as a full-status principal agent.
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) mode of attaining the qualification is perfect for existing principals or branch managers (or ex-principals or branch managers) who need the qualification to be legally compliant with the PPRA’s requirements.
Non-principal agents who are looking to develop their skills so that they can start their real estate agency or acquire a franchise are generally not RPL candidates, and they are advised to rather attend training to earn the qualification.
NQF L5 Information
• You must currently be in a management position or have had at least 12 months of management experience.
• You must have a valid FFC (Fidelity Fund Certificate) to submit the required PoE (Portfolio of Evidence).
• Although our company policy states that you have 12 months to submit your portfolio of evidence, it is YOUR

Is this qualification for me?
This national qualification is the one prescribed by the PPRA for all new Property Practitioners. It has been specifically designed to develop all the competencies required by intern estate agents. These include:
-
the code of conduct,
-
marketing and sales,
-
understanding the real estate business sector,
-
bond financing,
-
FAIS, FICA, and other related legislation
Intern agents will also be guided by Itakane facilitators to complete their logbooks, and many of the projects from the qualification can also be used in the logbook.
Real Estate Candidate Logbook
Intern agents and even principals may feel overwhelmed with their logbooks. Itakane Training Academy will guide you through this process step-by-step and make sure that you complete both your logbook and the qualifications for your 12-month internship.
Is this training only for South Africans?
Anyone can complete the Real Estate qualifications. However, in terms of the new Property Practitioner Act, clause 50, the PPRA may not issue a Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) to anyone who is not a South African citizen and does not lawfully reside in the Republic.
